[ Oh. Silly Gonta. He probably doesn't have to run too far, since Mikuni tends to stay near the groves where Konoha and Gonta have set up. Which only means that he's poking his head out with his eyebrows raised in mild confusion. Why is Gonta running around shouting his name? ]

Gonta? What's the matter?

[ Oh, he spots what he's wearing-- ]

Ah, you got my gift.

[ Gonta runs towards him, just completely eager upon seeing his old friend again after months of it just being him and his wife. It's almost as if he's young again-- except... well... really fucking huge. ]

Mikuni!!

[ Thankfully he stops short of running into him. Despite his power and speed, he's got good control and sure footing, at least. ]

I should have come and met you sooner!

[ Mikuni stands and braces himself for impact, even if it never comes. He smiles at his old friend, for a brief moment remembering them as much smaller versions of themselves. How cute ... ]

You should have.

[ He shakes his head chidingly. ]

Surely Konoha said something about it ... where have you been hiding?

[ Gonta scratches the back of his head a bit sheepishly. ]

I had a lot to work on the farmstead... inside wasn't warm enough for the winter, so I had to add a bit more reinforcement. Sorry it took so long...

Is that so? You know you and Konoha are welcome to put me to work again anytime.

[ He smiles, reaching over to ruffle Gonta's hair affectionately. ]

Seems that we may be calling this place home for a while.

I guess we certainly should... when spring comes around at least. You should come by for some hot pot, though.

[ He feels so relaxed around Mikuni. In all truth, it just felt really good to have his brother in arms once more. ]

I'm glad you've come here. This place is... very peaceful.

Of course I will. Konoha has already insisted I be there.

[ he smiles, also pretty relaxed in the company of his old friend. ]

It is very nice. A change from that bright, crowded city they put us in.

[ he nods, turning slightly more toward Gonta. ]

If I was going to be stuck in a place like this, I'm glad it was with you.

He shakes his head.

Honestly... I don't really think I'll ever get used to that place. It doesn't unnerve me the same way it used to. But...

He sighs.

Well, all the more reason for us to do more at the farmstead... to draw more people to where we're most comfortable.

Where are you staying, Mikuni? Do you live in the city?

[ He nods at that. ]

I understand. I wouldn't blame you if it did still unnerve you. Everything is so bright and loud... new.

[ Electronics and neon lights and all sorts of weird things. ]

Konoha has invited me to stay nearby you here. And so I have. My apologies for not saying anything to you directly sooner.

Oh? In another farm?

[ Gonta looks at him curiously. Despite being here for a while, he really hasn't gotten the hang of everything around. To be fair though, as much as possible, he avoids exploring the city and spends most of his time doing farm work or running through the forest. ]

No, the very same.

[ He smiles innocently. Yeah he knows you and Konoha bang a lot so we'll see how long this lasts. ]

At least for a time.

I really can't believe all this time we've been so close in distance but never met...

[ Gonta sits on the ground and puts a palm to his face, his sheer size making a pretty hefty 'thump' on the ground. ]

[ Mikuni steps in closer, sitting down beside Gonta so he can reach over and clasp his shoulder. ]

You needn't feel bad about it, Gonta. It hasn't even been that long, and I would hardly expect you to put your work on hold for me.

Well... I'm just glad to see you again, Mikuni.

[ He looks up at him with an apologetic look. ]

I'm glad you're here with me too, Gonta.

[ He smiles, gently stroking Gonta's hair as he sits down beside him. ]

It would be quite scary all alone.

It... it has... yeah.

[ He meekly says as he relaxes at the hair stroking. He has let his guard down with Konoha before, but with Mikuni, he lets down a lot more. With him, he's the younger boy-- a smaller jinba under the older one's care. ]

But now you have Konoha and me.

[ He smiles fondly, still stroking Gonta's hair for as long as he wants him to. ]

What a spoiled boy you are.

[ Goddamn it, Mikuni. Now Gonta's all incredibly red in the face at the way he says that. ]

[ you're so cute when you blush, little Gonta ]

There now, be at peace.

[ innocent petting like he hadn't been teasing Gonta only seconds before. ]

A-anyway... uh... d'ya wanna head to the farm with me? Uh... We could have nabe all together at the farmstead...

[ Mountains beyond, he feels so awkward about it. ]

[ don't feel awkward >( ]

Of course. I would love to eat together with you.

Good...

[ And with a smile, he walks with his old friend back to the farmstead. And that's where our scene ends! ]
